I've always had a desire to someday create a business I was passionate about. For this reason, I earned my MBA several years ago. The passion came in recent years when I discovered the field of public health while enrolled in a health and wellness program. I formed my public health consulting business a year ago, if only I had access to this EXPO before then. I would've saved a lot of time researching and learning by trial and error. Because I am an avid researcher and have some knowledge on how business works, I was familiar with several things mentioned during the EXPO, but I learned so many other things that will assist me along the way. Many aspiring consultants may have the educational background but lack the business acumen, which is one of the many reasons why I feel this EXPO is very necessary for both current and future consultants in the field of public health. Thank you, Dr. Huntley. This was a day well spent, learning and connecting.

The EXPO 2020 was inspiring for me. To be able to hear other people speak on Public Health gave me hope that I can get to where I want to be in this career field and that I can explore many options. Where I am now does not have to be my only field of choice, but there are many opportunities any many people thriving in those opportunities. I appreciate Dr. Huntley's efforts to putting this together and giving women like me motivation to explore what public health has to offer!

This event was awesome. It came at a time when I needed a "pick me up" pep talk. The panelist that I had the opportunity to hear live really encouraged me and placed some of my rattled thoughts into perspective. If there are limited/competitive employment opportunities then create your own path. I can't wait to catch the recordings of the other panelists that I missed live. I am truly grateful for this Expo and look forward to the next PH event.

The title is what caught my eye, when a colleague posted it on Facebook; mainly because of my background in public health and Faith, and also because I have a non-profit where I address topics around the subject matter. [EXPO 2020] I especially enjoyed the wide range of topics that were covered by the presenters. The information that addressed how to make my work revenue producing was most beneficial. Learning about how to build a strong marketing plan was also a highlight of the EXPO for me.

I’m thankful that this quarantine has allowed me to slow down and think more about how to shape my journey as a public health consultant. Attending the EXPO 2020 was a pivotal part of this process. I appreciated the candor each presenter’s story, giving us the “ups and downs” of a small business owner. Also, each presentation had two underlying key themes: the importance of personal connections and creating solutions. These themes are strong reminders of what helps build a strong business. This EXPO is a great resource for public health consultants at all levels!
